Hi, my name is Aidan.

I am an avid tennis fan and I have played at Hylands since I was 12.

I worked my way through the various levels and I am now part of the junior squad. I also compete regularly which has helped improve my game and with it my tenacity, determination and patience. These qualities have led to being presented with an Achievement Award from the Jack Petchey Foundation in 2014.

I very much enjoy being part of Hylands and I have seen it develop from being in a public park to the now impressive facilities at The Albany School where we also have access to badminton, futsal, basketball and volleyball just to name a few. As part of the opportunities the club has made available to me, I became an accredited Tennis Leader in October 2015 and I started helping in the Learn and Play programme.

In April 2016 I gained my Level 1 Assistant Tennis coach qualification. Ever since I have gained this qualification my confidence with coaching has immensely improved.

Despite our lead coach, Tina, retired earlier this year, I have continued to be involved with the programme now run by the Jack Woollcott Tennis Academy.

I love coaching young children a sport that I am passionate about as it feels fulfilling.

Other than continuing my education I intend to continue playing at Hylands and assisting with coaching and I may even strive to gain my Level 2 in the near future.
