Hylands Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) is a non traditional tennis provider set up as a not for profit Social Enterprise and operating from the grounds of the Albany School in Hornchurch. We facilitate access to tennis coaching and playing through our chosen provider: the Jack Woollcott Tennis Academy (JWTA).
Our long term ambition is to grow and sustain Tennis and other selected sports in the community at grass roots level. Increased and sustained participation is our focus area. More specifically Hylands actions plan is aligned to Sport England and LTA policies by:
- Help more people have a sporting habit for life
- Create more opportunity for young people to play sport
- Ensure tangible opportunities for communities
We particularly welcome participation by children in the 3-10 age range and young people in the 11-25 age range
Besides our current work focusing on community and grass roots sport we also intend to work with sport and community groups to improve access to School facilities and we can offer block booking for Basketball, Futsal and Netball.
Why do we think that this matters? Because our ability to offer people (children and adults) the opportunity to play sport contributes to a healthier nation, creating a sporting habit for life and therefore it will be crucial to secure more funding for sport.
We also value Volunteering and as probably the best development-minded club in Havering we believe in growing our Social Capital through our Volunteers Involvement Programme (VIP) and our Tennis Leaders scheme.
Membership is available for both Adults (19 and over) and Juniors (11 to 18). To become a member, please click HERE or use the Join Today icon on the left.
